As the spooky season approaches, it’s time to think about more than costumes and sweets — it’s a perfect opportunity to teach our little ones about staying safe.
At Trafford & Friends, we’ve put together a set of Halloween-themed educational tools, specially designed to make learning fun while reinforcing key safety messages. This post is here to help you – the grown-ups – understand how to use them at home, in class, or at your community event.
What’s Included This Halloween?
Here’s what you’ll find in our Halloween safety bundle:
🧑🎤 The Halloween Song – Trafford’s Trick or Treating
Our sing-along song is full of fun – but it also packs in child-friendly safety advice. From staying visible to holding a grown-up’s hand, each line is designed to reinforce safe behaviour while children enjoy Halloween.
📺 The Animated Video Version
This version of the song brings Trafford and his friends to life in full 3D animation, ideal for playing at school assemblies, before trick-or-treating, or even at Halloween parties.
Tip: Watch together with children and then pause to discuss the scenes!
🖍 Colouring Sheets
Our downloadable Halloween colouring pages are more than just fun – they open the door to conversation. As children colour Trafford dressed for trick-or-treating, you can talk about why he’s wearing bright clothes, why he stays with friends, and how he crosses roads safely.
How to Use These Materials
Here are a few ideas for how to make the most of what’s available:
- 📚 In Schools – Start the day with the song, then use the colouring sheet during free time or as a take-home activity.
- 🏠 At Home – Use the video as part of your Halloween build-up, and have the song playing as children get ready.
- 🧑🤝🧑 With Groups – Whether it’s a language club, after-school group, or community event, these materials are ready-to-go and suitable for all.
Everything is free to use and designed with clear, simple visuals that appeal to children aged 3–8, especially those in English-speaking families here in Spain.
Need More Help?
That’s what I’m here for. I’m Mark – the N332 Instructor – and I work with Trafford to help bring these safety messages to life. If you have questions about using the materials, want help adapting them for your classroom, or have an idea for something new — just get in touch!
Let’s Make This Halloween Safe and Fun.
With your help, we can make safety part of the celebration — not a scary add-on.
