Hi grown-ups, on this page you can download and print lots of goodies, including posters and games, and also the song sheets so you can all sing along.
The documents are all in PDF format, to make it easier, so once you have downloaded them, you can view them on the screen, or print them. Printing is needed for some though.
The posters are all designed to offer visual links to the learning experience, and build on the familiarity of each scene. Where relevant, the grown-ups who created this have given some little pointers to help you.
Click with the mouse, or finger on the title to view, or right click, press and hold, to download, depending on your settings and device.
Enjoy, have fun.
Posters
These posters are all in A4 format, so you can print them off and put them on the wall, or just use them in the car on the journey. You are welcome to have them printed properly if you like, just not for commercial purposes. You can’t sell them.
Beach Safe with Trafford
The generic poster found on the front cover of the booklet.
Beach Safe with Trafford Retro Poster
You might have noticed that we have taken on a retro theme for this campaign, just for a bit of fun really, and this is an alternative retro-style poster, based on the imagery of old railway travel posters in the UK.
Beach Safe Rules
This simple poster features the camption, “Beach Safe Rules”, which is a play on words which can be used to affirm the positivity of being beach safe, suggesting that being beach safe is a great option, and also pointing out that there are rules which must be adhered to in order to stay safe.
Getting Ready!
In this busy poster, we can see Trafford in his bedroom getting ready for the day at the beach. This can be used to point to items which must be checked, remembered, and taken, such as the rubber ring, or arm bands, for example.
Trafford on the Beach
This is a simple but colourful poster of Trafford on the beach, and is useful for pointing out key safety elements, such as the rubber ring, arm bands, and, of course, Trafford’s hat. Another point for you, the grown-ups, is that some small changes can be seen occasionally in different scenes. Here, for example, the hat is different than some of the other scenes so as to show that variety is okay, but also to serve as a visual pointer as differentials can stand out, and therefore brings attention to and important point.
Sunscreen!
We know the importance of sunscreen, and as grown-ups, it is important to choose a high factor, and on this poster we can see that everyone is enjoying putting the sunscreen on themselves, and, it acts like a superhero shield, which is the message we are trying to convey.
Flags
In this distraction-free poster, we see Trafford from behind, looking out to sea, and he has three flags on the side of the poster, red, yellow, and green. We sing about flags, with the most important message being to look to see what is flying, and never enter the water unless the flag is green. By having the three flags on this poster, you can point to them, with the children, and get them to choose the correct one, so they are used to looking for green, and not going near the sea if either of the others are flying.
Trafford and Derek
This is a very important poster in so much as it shows Trafford in the sea with Derek, his school friend. We can see that Derek is a giraffe, and therefore he is also “different”, which promotes acceptance and inclusivity, but the most important message which comes from this scene in the animated film and booklet is that the water, in places, can be deeper than it looks, and can surprise us. In the subsequent scene, we see Trafford and Derek walking hand-in-hand, and can see how much taller Derek actually is, highlighting the depth of the water just one step away.
Trafford Pointing
This is a simple poster of Trafford in a pointing pose, which you can use to encourage the children to “point” to various items on the beach. For example, “can you point to where we put the litter?”, or “Can you point to the safe place?”, the safe place we learn being where the lifeguards are.
Trafford Searching
Similar to the previous poster, in this one, Trafford is searching for something, which can help you set up fun treasure hunts, for example.
Group Picture
This poster is from the last scene of the film and booklet, when the group is walking away from the beach, heading home. This poster is packed with pointers, so you are able to ask the children to find lots of important elements, such as the lifeguard station, for example, the rubber ring, even be beach animals, you can spend a lot of time with this poster, pointing out and explaining lots of different pieces.
Song Sheets
These song sheets provide the lyrics to the songs in this feature, so you can print them off and have a sing along, wherever you are.

Colouring In!
These pages are for the little ones to colour in, either based on the colours from the original story, or using their own style and expression, as you wish. You can print off as many as you like.
Beach Safe
The generic poster that features lots of important elements, mostly of who to look for if the children get into difficulty, so they can remember if, and we really hope they never do, they need help.
Trafford, Trent, and Tammy
Just a happy picture of the three raccoons!
Trafford and Derek
Conveying the same messages as the poster, diversity, inclusivity, acceptance, and fun are the messages, as well as that hidden danger of the depth of the water.
Trafford and Francisco
This is quite a busy scene to colour in, but there are lots of messages too. Francisco, who can help if a child gets into trouble, the beach animals we don;t want to harm, and a lilo which can be used to highlight their risks.
Puzzles
Here, we have some puzzles you can play with the children, and at different levels of difficulty and complexity, such as a word search, which helps with word and letter recognition, and a fun “dress Trafford” game, where the children can be asked about each safety element, and why it is important, with your guidance. You will have to cut the various parts out of one of the sheets though, sorry, but it is worth it.
Word Search
This can be tricky for young children, but it helps them visualise the letters and words, and associate them with the overall message of safety.
Build Beach Safe Trafford – The Scene
This is Trafford, standing on the beach, but exposed to risks and dangers. The children can be encouraged to spot those risks, and, using the next sheet (which you will have cut out), take remedial action. So, for example, you ask what he should wear on his head, the answer being a hat of course, and then they can place the hat on his head. This helps the children remember when they go out, because they too need to be beach safe with Trafford.
Build Beach Safe Trafford – Accessories
When you print this page, you, as the grown-up, can cut out the various accessories to build beach safe Trafford, and then talk to the children about their importance whilst they place them where they should go. You have a hat, arm bands, rubber ring, sunscreen, a parasol, and a pice of rubbish for the bin.
